Method 1;
Eliminate and clean up the Shortcut Virus using CMD
1. Select Run from the Start menu;
2. To launch the Command Prompt, type CMD and press Enter;
3. On a computer or USB flash drive, type the drive letter of the hard disk partition and press Enter; (G for example.)
4. Enter the following command: attrib g:*.* /d /s -h -r -s. Your files and data on a Windows PC or USB flash drive will now be visible.
Method 2;
Remove shortcut viruses with antivirus software or a shortcut virus remover Anti-virus software may be downloaded and installed to remove any shortcut viruses from Windows 10/8/7 computers and USB and other external storage media if you want a double assurance. You may pick and choose which anti-virus programs and utilities to use from the list provided below. Trojan Removal Tool, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and shortcut virus fixfolder are a few examples.
Method 3;
Remove/Wipe the Registry of the shortcut virus
1. To access the registry, use Win+R and type regedit;
2. Select HKEY CURRENT USER from the list. Simply choose Software > Microsoft > Windows > Current Version. to launch;
3. Press Win + R, enter msconfig, and then choose OK;
4. Remove all checkmarks from Startup except for the antivirus program.
5. Press OK, then choose Restart now.
Method 4;
Erase It Using.bat file
1. Launch notepad
2. Copy and paste the following code: @echo off. -h -s -r -a /s /d attrib attrib Name Drive:*.* -h -s -r -a /s /d Name Drive:*.* attrib -h -s -r -a /s /d Name_Drive:*.* @echo complete
3. Use remove virus.bat to save the file. "Now replace Name drive with the name of the infected drive; if you have more than three drives, just copy and paste the command." 4. Just execute the program after closing the file. When everything is finished, delete the file and the folder from the disk.
